Job Opportunity: Ultrasound Sonographer (Travel)

Location: Mankato, Minnesota
Employment Type: Clinical Allied Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

• Produce high-quality ultrasound images for physician interpretation, meeting established radiology standards.
• Demonstrate competence with various imaging equipment and technology.
• Practice proper safety guidelines for self, support personnel, and patients.
• Foster teamwork through effective communication.
• Ensure high-level patient service through communication, technique, and safety.
• Maintain flexibility to staff various locations, shifts, and shift lengths.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support optimal patient care.

Required Qualifications

Education

• Graduate of an accredited sonography or radiography program.

Certifications & Licensure

• ARDMS registered or registry-eligible in either Vascular Technology (RVT) or RDMS (Abdominal or OB/GYN) within 6 months of employment (RVT preferred first).
• Both RVT and RDMS certifications required within 12 months of employment.
• Third certification (Abdominal or OB/GYN) to be completed within 18 months of employment.
• For breast imaging roles, RDMS (Breast) certification required within 24 months of achieved competency.
• Employees hired specifically for vascular sonography who are not eligible for Abdomen and OB/GYN certifications are exempt from those registry requirements.
• BLS certification required.

Experience

• Ultrasound Sonographer experience preferred.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work varied hours, including days, evenings, nights, holidays, weekends, and respond to on-call pager.
