Mammography Technician

Location: Brooklyn, New York
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 9 weeks
Shift: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Hours: 7 hours/day, 37.5 hours/week

Job Description

Perform routine screening and diagnostic mammography.
Demonstrate competency in mammography positioning, compression, and technique factor evaluation.
Ensure all radiographic images are appropriately labeled according to department SOP.
Evaluate images for technical acceptability and ensure timely transmission to PACS.
Complete all studies in IDX system.
Accurately record all required patient tracking information.
Work effectively and efficiently in all assigned duties.

Preferred Experience

Biopsy and stereotactic mammography experience preferred.

Required Qualifications

Valid Mammography Technologist license in New York
Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Mammography Technologist, including experience within the last year
Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
Must maintain Mammography Quality Standards Act (MQSA) requirements

Additional Information

Work schedule is Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 4 PM.
