Job Opportunity: Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - Travel Position

Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin

Job Description

• Provide respiratory therapy support across all patient care areas including Emergency Department and general care units.
• Deliver emergency services for Rapid Response and Code Blue situations.
• Perform basic respiratory care, critical care, ventilator management, and patient assessment using Assess and Treat Protocols.
• Care for patients of all age groups.
• Float to nearby locations (Tomahawk, Eagle River, Howard Young) as needed; floating may be prescheduled.
• Work 12-hour variable shifts.
• Weekend and holiday shifts every other or every third week based on staffing needs.
• On-call/call-back duties with a minimum 2-hour callback time; can be low censused and put on call.
• Charting experience with EPIC electronic health record system.

Required Qualifications

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential (NBRC RRT).
• Wisconsin Respiratory Therapy License.
• Current AHA or American Red Cross BLS and ACLS certifications. NRP preferred.
• Minimum 1+ years of respiratory therapy experience.
• Strong documentation skills.
• Ability to manage change well, be resilient, and work hard.
• Social and team-oriented.

Equipment Experience

• Bipap V60
• Puritan Bennett 980 ventilators
• LTV1200 transport ventilators
• Airvo2 (Heated High Flow) and Optiflow
• Resmed S10 (auto CPAPs for nighttime use)

Additional Information

• Guaranteed 36 hours per week.
• Contractors must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility.
• During flu season, travelers who decline flu and COVID vaccinations must wear a mask at all times per facility policy. Non-compliance may result in corrective action.
• Contract eligible for 36 hours of low census unbillable hours.
