Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse

Overview

• Travel assignment in Green Bay, Wisconsin
• 13-week contract
• Start: ASAP
• Shift: 8-hour PMs, 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM
• Guaranteed hours: 36-48 per week
• Weekend/holiday rotation: every other weekend and holiday rotation
• On-call: none

Unit / Float Scope

• Med Surg Float Team RN
• Primary location: Bellin Hospital - Green Bay, WI
• Floating as needed within skillset to:

  • observation unit
  • Cardiac unit
  • medical unit
  • surgical unit
  • ortho/neuro unit
  • inpatient rehab
  • transitional care unit
• Facility will try to keep the traveler in 1-2 like units, but there is potential to float to another unit

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Wisconsin
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• BLS issued by American Heart Association
• NIHSS
• 1 year of Med Surg / Telemetry experience
• Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
• Phlebotomy skills
• Experience with titratable or cardiac IV medications
• Experience with PICC lines
• Experience with Foley catheter care
• Experience with straight catheterization
• Transitional Care Unit experience

Preferred

• Previous travel experience strongly preferred
• Epic experience within the past 2 years strongly preferred
• NIHSS certification preferred for submission

Additional Notes

• NIHSS certification must be completed prior to the end of orientation
• Certification is provided at no charge to the traveler
• Contractors must be outside a 50-mile radius of Bellin Health
• Scrub colors: no bright colors or character prints
