Registered Nurse - Med Surg

Location: Sierra Vista, Arizona
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Work in an acute care unit with 34 beds
• Patient population includes geriatric, adults, and occasional pediatrics (peds not assigned to traveler)
• Patient ratio approximately 6:1
• Unit cares for telemetry, surgical, and general medical patients
• Equipment used includes Alaris pumps, SCD machines, feeding tubes, tele monitors
• Electronic Health Record system: Cerner
• Shift: 7 AM to 7 PM, occasional weekends required (same shift hours)
• Call required only when down staffed or placed on call
• Float requirements: may be asked to care for inpatient holds

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Arizona
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Minimum 1 year of recent Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
• ACLS certification
• BLS certification

Additional Information

• Dress code: scrubs of any color, closed-toed shoes required
• Must be able to work occasional weekends and float as needed
