Travel RN Opportunity – Medical/Surgical Telemetry

Location: Lake Havasu City, Arizona
Facility Type: Community hospital, Joint Commission Accredited, 171 beds, Level 3 Trauma Center, Certified Chest Pain Center

Position Details

Specialty: Medical/Surgical Telemetry (M/S Tele)
Role: Registered Nurse (RN)
Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Weekly Hours: 36 guaranteed
Weekend Shifts: 4 weekend shifts per 4-week period
Call Requirements: None scheduled; may flex shifts to on-call up to twice during contract

Unit Beds: 40
Patient Ratio: 1:6
Patient Population: Adult and geriatric patients
Typical Patients:
- Total joint replacement
- Surgical patients
- Acute Coronary Syndrome (ACS)
- Acute on chronic conditions (CHF, CKD)
- Alcohol withdrawal
- Systemic Inflammatory Response Syndrome (SIRS)
- Gastrointestinal bleeding (GIB)

Requirements & Qualifications

Experience: Minimum 2 years recent acute care experience
Certifications:
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- NIH Stroke Certification preferred
Licensure: Current RN license in the state of Arizona
Skills:
- Telemetry experience required
- Ability to manage a 6-patient ratio
- Preceptor and charge nurse experience is a plus
Float Requirements: Expected to float to other units such as Intermediate Care (IMC) and Emergency Department (ED)

Equipment Used:
- Baxter IV pumps
- Posey bed/chair alarms
- Omnicell drug dispensing cabinet
- Zoll defibrillators

Personality Fit: Compassionate, positive, can-do attitude
Dress Code: Black scrubs (top and bottom)
Unacceptable Attire: Open shoes
