Travel RN Opportunity – Med Surg / Telemetry

Location: Saint Louis, Missouri
Facility: Hospital Med Surg / Telemetry Unit (7E)

Position Details

• Role: Registered Nurse (RN)
• Specialty: Med Surg & Telemetry
• Shift: Nights, 4 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7 PM – 7 AM)
• Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36 or 48 hours (candidate’s choice)
• Contract Length: 13 weeks (approximately 13 weeks)
• Number of Openings: 2
• Weekend Requirement: Every other full weekend (Saturday and Sunday) unless otherwise approved
• Holiday Requirement: Expected to work at least one major winter holiday (Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Year’s Day)
• Call Requirements: None
• Float Requirements: As needed/customary; float required upon request

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years of telemetry nursing experience
• Certifications: NIHSS, BLS, ACLS

Unit Information

• Patient Population: Adults only, approximately 50% medical and 50% telemetry patients
• Patient Ratios: Typically 4-6 patients per nurse
• Equipment: Standard telemetry nursing equipment
• Electronic Medical Record (EMR): EPIC

Job Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Coordinate patient care activities with ancillary departments to optimize patient comfort and outcomes
• Practice within the scope of nursing consistent with Missouri Nurse Practice Act and facility standards
• Maintain positive patient outcomes through teamwork and superior communication
