Facility & Unit Overview

  • Located in southeastern Washington, serving the Tri-Cities area (Kennewick, Pasco, Richland)
  • Teaching hospital with 111 beds
  • Labor & Delivery Unit:
    • 6 labor rooms, 11 mother/baby rooms, 3 triage beds
    • Patient ratios follow AWHONN guidelines
    • Volume: Approximately 110 deliveries per month
  • Electronic Health Records (EHR): Centricity and Paragon

Position Details

  • Role: Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Specialty: Obstetrics (OB) - Labor & Delivery
  • Shift: Nights
  • Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
  • Weekend Hours: 48 per month
  • Call Requirements: None
  • Float Requirements: Yes, to Mother/Baby unit
  • Number of Openings: 1

Required Qualifications

  • Years of Experience: Minimum 2 years recent acute care experience (higher value taken)
  • Certifications:
    • Fetal Monitoring
    • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
    • BLS (Basic Life Support)
    • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
  • Licenses: Current Registered Nurse License for Washington State
  • Skills/Experience:
    • Must have experience with OR circulation, mother/baby care, and triage (preferred but not required)
  • Personality Fit: Flexibility and good communication skills

Additional Information

  • Patient Population: Adults
  • Dress Code: Scrubs in blue and blue/green colors
  • No call requirements
  • Must be located more than 60 miles from the facility to qualify as travel

Orientation

  • New Employee Orientation (NEO) dates available throughout the year

This is a travel RN position in Labor & Delivery requiring at least 2 years of recent acute care experience, relevant certifications, and flexibility to float to mother/baby units.
