Travel assignment in Asheville, North Carolina
Contract length: 13 weeks
Unit: A 4 West Adult Med Surg
34-bed unit
36 hours per week

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in North Carolina
Med Surg / Telemetry (2 years of experience)
Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
BLS
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Preferred Qualifications

ACLS

Unit Details

Day shift staffing: 1 Charge, 6-7 RNs, 3 CNAs, 1 Huc
Night shift staffing: 1 Charge, 5-7 RNs, 2 CNAs, 1 Huc
Day shift patient ratio: 1:4-6
Typical procedures: IV fluids, tube feeds, peg feedings, IV antibiotics
Floating: other med surg units, occasionally the holding Pod of ED
Dress code: Navy Blue scrubs
Weekend requirement: every other weekend or 6 weekend shifts per pay period

Additional Notes

Must follow unit policies, including huddles at 0650 AM or 1850 PM, clocking out and in for meal breaks, and clocking in no earlier than 0638 or 1838 depending on shift
