We are looking for a Computed Tomography Technologist (CT Tech) for an immediate travel opening in Jackson, KY. The right CT Tech must have 1 year of experience. Read below for additional requirements.As a CT Tech, you will be responsible for the use of computed tomography equipment and ensuring that images are accurate and passed on to physicians for medical interpretation. CT Techs are also responsible for the preparation of and caring for patients undergoing CT scanning.  TasksAs a CT Tech, you should be prepared to perform the following tasks:<ul><li>Confirm patient identification, review imaging requests and explain imaging procedures to patients, providing reassurance and support as required</li><li>Correctly interpret doctors' written instructions </li><li>Appropriately position patients to scan specific areas of their bodies</li><li>Use computerized tomography equipment to capture diagnostic images of patients' internal organs and tissues</li><li>Administer radiocontrast agents to patients to enhance the visibility of internal organs and tissues</li><li>Evaluate CT scans to determine whether they are of good technical quality</li><li>Follow safety procedures when working with radiation</li><li>Maintain accurate patient records</li><li>Understand and use the McKesson PACS system </li></ul>RequirementsMust have 1 year of experience. Must have BLS, ARRT (CT) National Certification with registration in computed tomography, and state-specific licensing when required.CT Techs should be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, bend, lean or stoop easily. The ideal candidate will deliver safe, high-quality care while collaborating with interdisciplinary care teams and maintaining compliance with facility policies and professional standards.

<h2>Responsibilities</h2>
<ul>
 <li>Perform CT scans and general diagnostic X-rays.</li>
 <li>Execute routine diagnostic CT scanning procedures, including head, neck, thorax, and spine.</li>
 <li>Manage portable radiographic and C-arm procedures.</li>
 <li>Ensure knowledge of processing CT system and cross-sectional anatomy.</li>
 <li>Maintain ability to conduct procedures with or without contrast media.</li>
 <li>Collaborate with radiologists to deliver timely diagnostic services.</li>
</ul>

<h2>Qualifications</h2>
<ul>
 <li>Graduate of an accredited AMA school in radiologic technology.</li>
 <li>Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT).</li>
 <li>State-licensed as a general radiographer.</li>
 <li>Minimum 2 years of experience with previous travel experience required.</li>
 <li>Proficiency in routine diagnostic CT scanning procedures.</li>
 <li>Ability to work weekends and holidays as needed.</li>
</ul>
