Cardiac Cath Lab Tech Travel Opportunity
Location: Austin, Texas
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Monday to Friday, 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM
Hours per Week: 36
Unit Overview
- Unit Type: Cardiac Catheterization Lab
- Number of Beds: 8
- Number of Staff: 10 (including 4 RNs and 3 Cardiovascular Techs)
- Patient Ratios: Not specified
- Equipment: Cardiovascular invasive equipment
- Electronic Medical Record (EMR) System: Meditech
- Call Requirements: On-call 10-12 days per month, covering 3:00 PM – 6:30 AM and weekends (48-hour on-call shifts)
- Permanent Positions Available: No
Typical Procedures
- Cardiac catheterizations
- Percutaneous coronary interventions (PCI)
- Peripheral procedures
- Pacemaker and defibrillator implants
Required Certifications and Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Cath Lab Radiology Technologist, including experience within the last year
- Cath Lab Tech Certification
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- Experience as a Cath Lab Technologist
Preferred Qualifications
- RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist) certification is preferred but not required
Work Environment and Culture
- Dress Code: Ceil blue scrubs required
