Job Overview

Location: Saint Louis, Missouri
Employment type: Travel

Shift: Nights, 7:00 PM–7:30 AM
Contract length: 13 weeks
Weekly hours: 36 or 48 hours
Weekend requirement: Every other weekend
Call: None
Float: May float to other units based on staffing needs

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Missouri
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
1 year of Med Surg experience
Med Surg experience within the last year
BLS issued by American Heart Association
Experience in an Inpatient setting
Driver's License

Preferred Qualifications

ACLS certification from AHA only

Unit Details

30 beds
Typical patient ratio: 1:6–7
Patient population includes GI, GU, wound care, acute withdrawal, altered mental status, dialysis/ESRD, and minor surgical patients

Work Environment

Uses the nursing process to provide direct patient care across all age groups
High physical demands, including standing and walking most of the shift, lifting and turning patients with assistance, and exposure to blood and body fluids
