CT Technologist Opportunity

Location: Devils Lake, North Dakota
Facility: St Alexius Health Devils Lake Hospital
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Position Overview

• Role: CT Technologist with CTA experience
• Department: CT Tech
• No clinical involvement required
• Must be certified CT Technologist (ARRT CT) and hold BLS and ND Licensure
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• Previous travel experience preferred but not required

Key Responsibilities & Skills

• Perform diagnostic imaging including CT/CTA of head, neck, extremities, abdomen, pelvis, spine, and facial/sinus areas
• Competent in diagnostic imaging with specific CTA experience
• Average patient volume: 5-30 patients/day (day shift), 2-12 patients/day (night shift)
• Cross-training into Radiology or MRI expected
• Use Meditech EMR and PACS systems

Equipment Used

• CT: Siemens
• X-ray: Siemens
• MRI: Philips
• Nuclear Medicine: Digirad
• Ultrasound: Philips
• Power Injector: Bracco

Work Schedule & Environment

• Shift lengths: 8, 10, or 12 hours with rotating call
• Weekend work: Every 3rd weekend with call rotation
• Holiday work: Rotating holiday on-call required
• Call hours: 12:01 AM to 6:00 AM with 20-minute response time
• Department staffed until midnight; call coverage after hours until 6 AM
• Block scheduling allowed with team input
• Scrubs not provided; no specific color requirement
• Orientation: 1-2 shifts

• Fast-paced environment that can vary in intensity throughout the day
• Flexibility and positive attitude toward add-on outpatient exams and teamwork are important
• No radiology supervisor or lead tech on shift; no radiologist in-house
• Radius rule: Candidates must be outside 50 miles and not currently or recently employed by CommonSpirit-associated facilities
