Sonographer - Travel Contract

Location: Grass Valley, California
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

Seeking an experienced Ultrasound Technologist for a travel assignment in a hospital radiology department. The role involves performing a variety of ultrasound imaging studies primarily during day shifts.

Work Schedule

• Shift: Days
• Hours: 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week
• Call: 1-2 nights per week depending on rotation
• Weekend: Every other weekend required
• Holidays: Rotation with core staff

Job Duties

• Perform ultrasound imaging including OB/GYN, abdomen, small parts, carotid arteries, DVT studies, renal arteries, thoracic, and biopsy procedures
• Average of 10 scans/studies per day
• Rotate to outpatient areas as needed
• Use department-specific equipment (GE L8 and L9)
• Work with EMR/PACS systems such as McKesson, Cerner, and Vrad
• No IV starts required
• Radiologist available on-site 8am-5pm

Department Details

• Radiology - Ultrasound department with 4 scanners/rooms (2 outpatient, 2 inpatient)
• Scrub color: Teal (scrubs not provided)
• Department-specific orientation provided

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of ultrasound experience
• Active certifications: BLS, ARDMS, RVT (RVT is a plus, vascular preferred; cardiac not required)
• COVID-19 vaccine required (medical or religious exemptions accepted with documentation)
• Crisis protocol approved
• Must provide 2 supervisory references (1 within last 12 months, 1 within last 3 years)

• No Registered Radiology Assistants (RRA) support
• Medical or religious COVID vaccine declinations accepted with appropriate documentation
• Call requirement includes 8-hour day shifts with call every other week
