Required Experience

• Minimum 2 years cath lab experience
• Must have IABP (Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump) experience

Certifications Required

• ACLS (AHA)
• BLS (AHA)

Work Environment

• 7 total rooms: 4 Cath Lab/EP & 3 IR
• Average 20+ cases per day across all rooms
• Common procedures: Ablations (Atrial Fibrillation, Atrial Flutter, SVT, VT), EP studies with programmed stimulation, Pacemaker & ICD placements, Loop recorder implants

Job Duties

• Verify orders and consent
• Head-to-toe patient assessment
• Patient education
• Consent verification
• Room setup and circulation during cases
• Administer moderate sedation and assist anesthesia providers
• Continuous hemodynamic monitoring
• Documentation and coordination with the care team

• Cerner

Staffing & Team

• Cath Lab: 1 RN, 3 Techs daily
• EP Team: 3 to 4 person team, varies
• IR: 1 RN, 2 Techs, anesthesia support for neuro cases
• STEMI Call Team: 4 persons (1 RN & 3 Techs)
• Cardiologist hours/on call available
• 2 team leads manage scheduling and staffing

Shifts & Scheduling

• Standard: 4 ten-hour days per week (7:00 AM - 5:30 PM) plus call
• Rotating day off
• Option to consider 5 eight-hour days (7:00 AM - 3:30 PM)

Call Requirements

• Weeknight and weekend call rotation (approximately once every 3 weekdays and once every 3 weekends, including Friday through Monday)
• Holiday call may be required
• Call response time: 30 minutes
• No floating requirements

Orientation & Training

• 2-3 full days of orientation/training and shadowing
• Buddy call during second week; no call first week
• On-call independently after orientation period

Additional Notes

• Must have prior experience with IABP
• Clinicians who have previously worked at this facility must have a minimum 6-month gap since last employment
• All clinicians must clock in and out at the facility
• Scrubs provided; own scrub caps allowed
