X-Ray Tech Job Opportunity

Location: Tacoma, Washington
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

Seeking an experienced X-Ray Tech to work in a radiology department specializing in general X-Ray imaging. The position involves performing portable X-rays, departmental X-rays, and emergency department imaging. The shift is Tuesday through Friday, 1:00 PM to 11:30 PM, with minimal on-call requirements.

Department Details

• Radiology - General X-Ray
• 4 X-ray rooms, 4 portable units, 2 fluoroscopy rooms
• No floating to other areas; focus solely on X-ray
• Approximately 20-50 scans/studies per day
• Equipment used: GE, Siemens, Shimadzu
• PACS system: McKesson PACS and EPIC EMR
• In-house radiologist coverage from 8 AM to 5 PM; off-site reading after hours
• No IV starts required
• Scrubs provided
• Orientation: 2 hours with manager plus 2 weeks staff orientation

Required Qualifications

• Must have Washington State X-Ray Technologist license in hand
• Certified Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) registration required
• BLS Certification required
• Radiation badge required (traveler’s responsibility; facility does not provide)
• COVID-19 vaccination required
• Candidates must not have worked full-time, part-time, or PRN at any related facilities within the past year

Experience

• Minimum 1 year of experience preferred
• Experience in a larger, fast-paced hospital setting preferred

Scheduling & Other Information

• Shift: Tuesday to Friday, 1 PM to 11:30 PM
• Minimal call required
• Holiday work is optional
