Contract Length

• 13 weeks

Schedule

• 12-hour day shifts
• 36 hours per week
• Weekend requirement: 4 weekend shifts in a 4-week schedule

Required Qualifications

• Active California RN license
• BLS
• ACLS
• NRP
• AWHONN fetal monitoring certification
• 2-3 years of experience in labor and delivery/postpartum
• Must be able to circulate for C-sections
• L&D nurses must have postpartum experience

Preferred

• Prior travel contract experience
• Willingness to take call

Unit Details

• Labor and delivery/postpartum unit
• 7 L&D beds
• 4 triage beds
• 2 overflow beds
• 27 postpartum beds
• 5-bed nursery

Clinical Notes

• High-risk deliveries
• Any gestational age
• EMT drop-offs
• Substance withdrawal cases
• No prenatal care cases
• Spanish-speaking patient population
• May float between labor and delivery, postpartum, and NICU within scope

Additional Information

• 3 shifts of floor-specific orientation
• C-section suites with recovery
• OB tech support available
• 24/7 respiratory therapy and pharmacy coverage
• Optional call
• Navy scrubs
