Job info

Registered Nurse — IMU

Location

  • Bridgeport, West Virginia

Contract Length

  • 13 weeks

Shift

  • 12-hour day shifts
  • 36 hours per week

Unit Details

  • 18-bed IMU
  • Typical step-down patient population
  • Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:3
  • Telemetry on all patients; RNs read strips

Required Qualifications

  • ACLS
  • BLS
  • RN license
  • Ability to titrate drips

Clinical Experience / Skills

  • Experience with post-MI sheath pulls, ADHS, postoperative vascular patients, GI bleed, and DKA
  • Experience with nitroglycerine, Neo, and Cardene drips
  • Experience with BiPAP and CPAP

Scheduling / Work Expectations

  • Every other weekend
  • Holiday schedule approximately every other holiday
  • No call or standby
  • Floating as needed

Additional Notes

  • Charge nurse and house supervisor are available
  • One PCT per shift
  • Unit orientation provided by the unit
  • Royal scrubs required; undershirts may be white, royal blue, or black
