Overview

• Travel contract in Tacoma, Washington
• 13-week assignment
• 12-hour night shifts
• 36 hours per week

Required Qualifications

• Active BLS, ACLS, NRP, and WA license
• 2 full years of experience
• Pending license needed to submit
• COVID vaccine required

Preferred Qualifications

• AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring

Unit Details

• Unit: L&D/PP/MB
• 11 L&D beds
• 7 antepartum/high risk beds
• 2 OR suites
• 3 triage beds
• 24 postpartum beds
• About 4,000 births per year

Clinical Responsibilities / Experience

• High Risk OB
• Triage
• OR circulating
• Surgical admission and recovery
• Titrating drips
• Common drips: Pitocin and Insulin

Scheduling / Work Conditions

• Weekend requirement
• Holiday requirement
• Call or standby required
• No floating
• Unit orientation provided
• Floating within unit during orientation as needed

Unit Support

• Charge nurse
• CNAs and surgical techs on the unit
• OBHG in house 24/7
• Neo or NICU advanced practice provider available 24/7
• RT equipment available for NICU

Additional Notes

• Ratios follow AWHONN guidelines to the best of their ability
• Telemetry is not used on this unit
• EFM system: Centricity Perinatal
• Hospital scrubs required
