Overview

• Travel contract for an experienced OR nurse in Long Beach, California.
• Contract length: 13 weeks.
• Shift: Nights, 12 hours per day, 36 hours per week.

Required Qualifications

• 2 full years of OR experience.
• Active BLS.
• Active ACLS.
• Active PALS.
• California RN license.

Assignment Details

• Unit: OR.
• 11 suites; staffed for 6–7 open daily.
• 15–30 cases per day.
• Ratio: 1:1.
• Call requirement: 3 weekday evening/night call shifts and 3 weekend call shifts per 6-week schedule.
• Call response time: 30 minutes.
• Holidays rotate with core staff.
• Scrub color provided.
• Tele: Yes.
• Vents: Yes.
• RT 24/7: Yes.
• Pharmacy 24/7: Yes.
• Floating: No.
• Floor-specific orientation: 1 week or until comfortable.
• Common cases: Ortho, neuro, general; everything except transplants.
• Dedicated CVOR and trauma teams.
• Scrubbing required for RNs: No.
• Uses preference cards.
