Location

  • Centennial, Colorado

Contract Length

  • 13 weeks

Shift

  • Nights, 12-hour shifts

Schedule

  • 40 hours per week
  • Schedule is released 4–6 weeks in advance
  • Weekend requirement: 6–9 weekend shifts in a 6-week schedule
  • May be asked to work holidays
  • Call or standby is rare and only for low census

Required Qualifications

  • 2 years of medical-surgical telemetry experience
  • Prior neuro experience is preferred
  • Active BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
  • Must be able to float within a 60-mile zone
  • Must be in state for the week of orientation
  • Driver’s license must be submitted

Clinical Setting

  • Adult and geriatric patients
  • General medical-surgical telemetry and multiple specialty units
  • May care for patients in ICU, PCU/stepdown, and MS-tele settings
  • May titrate heparin drips
  • Nurse aides are available
  • Respiratory therapy equipment is available

Assignment Details

  • Travelers are expected to float throughout the assigned zone
  • No home base facility
  • Housing is the traveler’s responsibility and must support the 60-mile floating requirement
  • First float assignment is communicated on or before the Monday start date
  • Schedule may be either:
    • a single facility for the week, with possible floating within that facility, or
    • a just-in-time assignment given 1–2 hours before shift start

Interview Process

  • Interview with the clinical team
  • No unit manager involvement
