Job Details
- Specialty: Cardiac Cath Lab Technician
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Shift: Days
- Hours: 10 hours per day, 40 hours per week
- Schedule: 4 x 10-hour shifts with call
- Call Requirements:
- Weekly, rotational basis
- Typically 8-9 call shifts per month (weeknights, weekends, holidays)
- Call response time: 30 minutes from page
- Mandatory call list used if staff cannot fulfill call shifts
- Orientation: 3 to 5 days, includes 12 non-billable orientation hours
- Floating: Not required to float
Work Environment
- Department has 6 cath lab suites/labs
- Average 10 to 15 cases per day
- Cath lab is separate from Interventional Radiology (IR) and Electrophysiology (EP)
- Cardiologists on call 24/7, 365 days a year
- Primary charge nurse on shift from 6:00 AM to 3:30 PM (does not routinely complete cases but takes call)
- Scrubs provided by hospital

Requirements/Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Cath Lab Technologist
- Cath Lab Technologist experience within the last year
- ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- Previous cath lab experience

- Local placements accepted within a 50-mile radius
- Drug-free campus: negative drug screen required for all panels
- Call off policy: Equivalent of 12 hours off every 13 weeks with no penalty or pay obligation
- Scrub color/dress code: Hospital provides scrubs
