• Additional certifications may be required based on unit assignments.

Responsibilities

• On-call every 3rd weekend.
• Float within scope to meet facility needs (med tele, med surg, rehab units).
• May be scheduled for charge duties if possible.
• Must be comfortable with isolation patients, including COVID.
• Experience with drips (Cardizem, Amio, Heparin, Dobutamine) and special procedures (Thoracentesis, Paracentesis, Bipap, Airvo) is preferred.

Health and Safety Requirements

• Vaccination Requirements:

  • COVID-19 vaccination (full series required).
  • Flu vaccine required during flu season (medical/religious exemptions considered).
• Health Documents:

  • Physical exam within 12 months.
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray.
  • Various immunization records (MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella).

Compliance and Verification

• Background Check: Required within 30 days of start.
• References: From at least 2 recent prior employers.
• Education Verification: Required for all candidates.

Requirements/Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Missouri
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Minimum of 1 year experience as an RN in a Stepdown unit
• At least 1 year of experience with special procedures, including experience within the last year
• Experience and comfort caring for isolation patients, including COVID
• Proficient with Cardizem, Amio, Heparin, and Dobutamine drips
• Experience performing Thoracentesis and Paracentesis
• Experience with BiPAP and Airvo devices
