Position Details

• Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology
• Location: Greenwich, Connecticut
• Facility: Greenwich Hospital, part of Yale New Haven Health
• Employment Type: Travel/Contract
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Schedule: 7 AM - 5 PM, 4 days a week, 9.5 hours per day with call rotation for off-hours, holidays, and weekends. Staff must be within 30 minutes of the hospital for on-call duties.

Job Description

• Role: Procedure Tech
• Requirements:

  • CT registered Rad Tech
  • Competent as a scrub tech for Cardiac Cath and Interventional Radiology
  • Mechanical Stroke experience required
  • EP Ablation experience is a plus but not required

Certifications Required

• AHA Certifications:

  • ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support
  • BLS - Basic Life Support
  • PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support
  • NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure
  • TNCC - Trauma Nursing Core Course
  • EFM - Electronic Fetal Monitoring
  • NIH Stroke Certification (required for RNs only)

Additional Competencies

• Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam: Required for all candidates.
• Dysrhythmia/EKG Competency Exam: Required for Telemetry, MS/Tele, and all ICU units.
• Color Blind Testing: Required for all candidates on/after 8/2/2024.

Health Documents Required

• Physical Exam: Required within 12 months of start.
• Fit Test: Required within 12 months of start, updated annually.
• TB Testing: Negative 2 PPDs or Qgold/Tspot within specified timeframes.
• Vaccinations:

  • Tdap vaccination required within 10 years for specific units.
  • Flu vaccination required during flu season.
  • COVID-19 vaccination series required.

Background Checks

• Criminal Background Check: Required within 12 months of start, updated annually.
• Employment Application: Must include a 7-year work history with no gaps greater than 90 days.

Training and Compliance

• Various training modules and attestations required, including but not limited to:

  • CLABSI Prevention
  • Patient Transportation with Oxygen
  • Suicide Risk and Environmental Assessment
  • Baxter Pump Interoperability Training
