Registered Nurse Travel/Contract Position

Location: Hannibal, Missouri
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Assignment Details

• Start Date: January 5th
• Shift: Days/Mids/Nights FLEX 3x12s

  • Day shift: 6:00 AM - 6:30 PM
  • Mid shift: 11:00 AM - 11:00 PM or 12:00 PM - 12:00 AM
• Experience Required: Minimum 2 years
• License: Missouri RN License required
• Certifications Required:

  • BLS (AHA only)
  • ACLS (AHA only)
  • TNCC (preferred for all except ED)
  • PALS (AHA preferred except Med/Surg, Surgery, ED, ICU)

Key Requirements

• No local candidates within 60-mile radius
• Background Checks:

  • Within 30 days of start and updated annually
  • Includes 7-year history (social security trace, county searches, nationwide search, national sex offender, education verification)
  • State-specific elder/child abuse search for home health candidates
  • EPLS/GSA/SAM and OIG checks within 90 days of start
• Education Verification: Required for all candidates
• Primary Source License Verification and NURSYS verification required
• Competency Exams:

  • Medication/Pharmacology exam within 12 months
  • Unit competency exam within 12 months
  • Annual Core Testing (Parts I, II, III)
• Health Documents:

  • Physical exam within 12 months
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year (annual TB questionnaire required)
  • Immunizations or titers for:

    • Rubeola (Measles)
    • Mumps
    • Rubella
    • Hepatitis B
    • Varicella
  • Tdap vaccine within 10 years (declination or exemption accepted)
  • 7-panel drug test within 45 days of start
  • Seasonal flu vaccine or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season (9/1 - 3/31)
  • COVID-19 vaccine exemptions (medical or religious) considered with mask requirements for exempted staff

Facility Specific Requirements

• Completion of orientation modules and facility-specific documents including confidentiality statement and job description acknowledgment
• Passport-style photo required for badge
• Various vaccine declination and exemption forms may be required (COVID-19, flu, MMR, Hep B, Varicella, TDAP)
• References from at least 2 recent employers
• Employment application and skills checklist required
