Job Opportunity: Interventional Radiology Tech (Travel/Contract)

Location: Fayetteville, North Carolina

Job Details

  • Schedule:
    • 3 shifts of 12 hours each per week (3x12s)
    • Days, weekends (every other weekend), and call required
    • Days off will not be consecutive or consistent
  • Floating: Required to float within scope to meet facility needs, including between like units
  • Block Scheduling: Open to accommodating block scheduling
  • Locals: Not accepted (50-mile radius rule from main campus)
  • Return Staff Policy: Must be gone for 1 year to return as a traveler
  • Contract Limit: Maximum of 2 contracts (can extend once), then must be gone for 6 months before returning
  • Call Policy: Call off policy allows 2 shifts off per 13-week assignment; after that, all contracted hours are guaranteed
  • First-timers: Accepted

  • Years of Experience: Minimum 2 years in Interventional Radiology (must have IR experience)
  • Prior Travel Experience: Not explicitly required

Certifications & Competencies Required

  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support): AHA or Military only; required for certain units (may be relevant depending on float assignments)
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program): Required for specific units (may be relevant depending on float assignments)
  • Pass/Fail Testing (EKG/Medication): Required for awareness; candidates have 3 attempts to pass with 80% or higher
  • Dysrhythmia/EKG Competency Exam: Required as applicable; must be completed via Relias and renewed annually; minimum 80% to pass

Background & Health Requirements

  • Background check required within 6 months of start (includes SSN trace, 7-year county residence, nationwide search, sex offender search, and international search if applicable)
  • Education verification or diploma/transcript required
  • Physical exam within 1 year, signed by physician, NP, or PA-C; must be updated annually
  • Immunizations and titers required:
    • TDAP (within last 10 years)
    • Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella (titer or 2 vaccines)
    • Varicella (titer or 2 vaccines)
    • Hepatitis B (vaccine series, positive titer, or signed declination accepted)
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year of start
  • Drug testing: Negative 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start
  • Flu vaccine required year-round; medical or religious exemptions accepted with facility approval
  • COVID-19 vaccine not required but accepted if available
