Job Description

Seeking an Outpatient Oncology Pharmacist with infusion center experience. Candidates with inpatient experience and oncology background may also be considered.

Shift Details

• Rotating shift: 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday (start times may vary, some as early as 7:00 AM)
• Weekend and holiday rotation required (clinic usually closed on holidays and weekends)
• No on-call required
• Floating within scope is not required
• Block scheduling may be accommodated at manager’s discretion

Required Qualifications

• Licensed Pharmacist in the Commonwealth of Virginia
• B.S. Pharm. or Pharm.D. degree required
• Infusion center experience required (home health infusion or inpatient oncology experience considered)
• Experience with chemotherapy, intravenous (IV) piggyback, IV push medications, packaging antineoplastic agents, and sterile technique
• Pharmacotherapy management experience in gastrointestinal, hematologic, immunologic, neurologic, oncologic, and rheumatologic conditions
• Outpatient care experience required
• Ability to work independently with excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Pharmacy residency from an accredited ASHP institution
• Experience with computerized hospital pharmacy systems
• Skills with Pyxis and Epic systems

Special Equipment

• Handling hazardous and non-hazardous medications
