Job Opportunity: Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics - RRT (Travel/Contract)

Location: Toledo, Ohio
Contract Length: 12 weeks
Shift: Nights (7 PM - 7:30 AM)
Start Date: ASAP
Travel Experience: First-time travelers OK (no prior travel experience required)


Required Qualifications

  • Licensure: Must be licensed to work as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) in Ohio
  • Certifications:
    • BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA only, required for all candidates
    • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - Preferred but not required for RRT
    • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) - Preferred but not required for RRT
    • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure) - Required when applicable
  • Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience as an RRT
  • Background Checks:
    • Must have a background check within the last year, including SSN trace, county, statewide, nationwide, sex offender, and other required screenings
    • Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities Online Abuser Registry search required
  • Health Requirements:
    • Physical exam within 1 year of start
    • Fit mask test (3M 1870+ or 3M 1860s) within 12 months of start, updated annually
    • Immunizations/vaccinations: Tdap (within 10 years or signed declination), MMR (2 vaccines or positive titer), Hepatitis B (titer or series), Varicella (2 vaccines or positive titer), Flu vaccine (required for flu season, no declinations accepted)
    • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months (or clear chest X-ray within 5 years if past positive TB) and annual TB questionnaire
    • 9-panel drug screen within 30 days of start
  • Competency Exams:
    • Unit-specific competency exam required
    • Medication/pharmacology competency exam as applicable
  • Employment History:
    • Verification of last 3 years of employment
    • Two professional references within 2 years of start
  • Other:
    • Government-issued photo ID required during hours of service
    • Completion of facility-specific onboarding documents and safety manual acknowledgment

Additional Information

  • Local candidates are acceptable at the same rate
  • Fingerprinting required only for those working in Early Learning Center or Outpatient Behavioral Health (not applicable for this role)
  • Respirator Medical Evaluation Questionnaire required and must be sent directly to the facility's Occupational Health department
  • Radiation badge required only for Cath Lab unit (not applicable for this role)

This position offers a 12-week travel contract for an experienced RRT with night shift availability in Toledo, Ohio. First-time travel therapists are welcome to apply.
