Job Opportunity: Cath Lab Tech (Radiology / Cardiology)
Location: Chicago, Illinois
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details
- Work Schedule: Monday to Friday
- Call Requirements:
- 1 weekend call every 6 weeks
- 1 call back per week
- Experience with GE equipment and proficiency in starting IVs required
- Must hold ARRT & IEMA licenses
- CPR certification required
Required Certifications
- ACLS (AHA only)
- BLS (AHA only)
- Other certifications may be required depending on unit and specialty (e.g., PALS, NRP, CCRN)
- State License verification within 30 days of start
Background Checks & Compliance
- Criminal background check within 6 months of start (7-year search including alias, county, national sex offender)
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks within 30 days of start, updated monthly
- Photo for badge required 2 weeks prior to start
- Facility-specific compliance checklists and online training modules must be completed prior to orientation
Health & Immunization Requirements
- Physical exam within 1 year of start, fit for duty
- N95 mask fit testing within 1 year (not required for sterile processing or clerical roles)
- TDAP vaccine within 10 years
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray per facility guidelines
- Required immunizations or titers for: Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Hepatitis B
- Negative 9-panel drug screen within 1 year of start
- Flu vaccine or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season (Dec 1 - Apr 30)
Competency Requirements
- Medication/Pharmacology competency exam as applicable
- Color blind testing (14 plate Ishihara exam)
- Unit-specific competency exams updated every 3 years
- Annual mandatory OSHA training
- Core training parts I, II, and III annually
