Job Summary

• Position: Physical Therapist (Inpatient Rehab)
• Schedule: 5 days per week, 8-hour shifts (08:00 - 17:00)
• Weekend Requirement: Two Saturdays per month with a compensatory day during the week
• Patient Age Group: Adults and Geriatrics
• Patient Diagnoses:

  • General medical (deconditioning/debility)
  • Orthopedic (including MVA and multi-trauma)
  • Neurology
• Patient Ratios: 1:1 during day shifts
• Average Daily Census: 13 patients
• Visits per Day: 1
• Beds: 14

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of Physical Therapy experience (highest stated requirement)
• Current Physical Therapist license for Georgia
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA or American Red Cross)
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification recommended (facility notes ACLS required for RRTs, but not specified for PT)
• Physical exam within 1 year of start, renewed yearly
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year of start
• Required immunizations or titers:

  • Rubeola (Measles)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B (titer, series completion, or signed declination)
  • Varicella
  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap within 10 years (facility-specific declination accepted)
• Negative 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start (including Marijuana/THC)
• Seasonal flu vaccination or approved exemption required during flu season
• Background check within 30 days of start (including SSN trace, 7-year county residence, nationwide search, sex offender search)
• Official transcript or diploma copy required
• Photo for badge (passport style, white background, no selfies)
• Employment application and 2 professional references required

Additional Requirements & Information

• Scrubs provided (color: Grey/Pewter for Physical Therapy)
• EPIC electronic health record training and testing required on day 1
• Facility-specific orientation including pass/fail testing for medication, EKG, and competency exams (applicable primarily to nursing but may be relevant for interdisciplinary staff)
• Mask fit testing completed at orientation
• Fingerprinting through Georgia GCHEXS system required only for CNAs and Recreational Therapists (not required for PTs)
• COVID-19 vaccination required or approved medical/religious exemption with facility-specific forms
• Various facility-specific documents and training modules must be completed prior to start
• No prior travel experience explicitly required

Summary

This is a travel Physical Therapist position in an inpatient rehab setting in Georgia, requiring at least 1 year of PT experience, BLS certification, and standard healthcare immunizations and screenings. The contract length is approximately 8 weeks with a consistent weekday schedule and some weekend coverage.
