Job Details

Job Description

  • Work independently for 12 hours on weekends when scheduled
  • Experience with GE 1.5T MRI scanner required
  • Knowledge of general MRI protocols including prostate and breast imaging
  • Daily outpatient schedule including level III trauma emergency department
  • Candidates must be pre-approved for housing prior to submission
  • Maximum of 10 return-to-office (RTO) days allowed, with blackout periods in late June/early July, early September, and late October/early November 2026

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 1.5 years of experience in Radiology/Cardiology specialty
  • Certification: Registered Technologist (R.T.) with ARRT credentials in Radiology and MRI (R.T.(R)(MR)(ARRT))
  • Charting experience with Epic electronic health record system
  • Valid Colorado state license for MRI Technologists required
  • Must have a current driver’s license/state ID
  • Must pass a 7-year background check and meet all state and federal screening requirements
  • Required certifications (confirm with facility if applicable):
    • Basic Life Support (BLS) – AHA or RQI accepted
    • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) may be required depending on facility
  • Must complete required competency exams annually, including medication/pharmacology and core competencies
  • Must pass Ishihara color blindness exam prior to start (online testing not accepted)

Health and Safety Requirements

  • Physical exam within 1 year of start, signed by MD, DO, NP, or PA
  • Fit mask test within 12 months of start, updated annually (3M 1860S, 1860R, or 1870/1870+ masks)
  • Immunizations/vaccinations required or documented immunity for:
    • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years or signed declination)
    • Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR) – positive titer or 2 vaccines
    • Hepatitis B – positive titer, vaccine series, or declination
    • Varicella – positive titer or 2 vaccines
    • COVID-19 vaccination or signed declination (acceptable vaccines: AstraZeneca, Pfizer, Moderna)
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year, with annual TB questionnaire if positive history
  • Drug testing within 30 days of start and updated annually (specific panel required)

Documentation and Verification

  • Employment application with 3 years of employment history, including explanations for gaps over 30 days
  • Verification of last 3 years of work history, including most recent employer
  • Two professional references from the last two years, one from employment within the last year (charge RN, manager, or supervisor)
  • E-Verify or attestation required
  • Proof of name change if applicable, with updated certifications/licenses
  • Colorado CAPS check results within 60 days of start
  • Annual release authorization for Colorado CAPS
  • Completion of facility-specific new employee orientation modules within first two weeks of assignment

Additional Notes

  • Candidates must be pre-closed on housing before submission
  • No floating to other units or sister facilities
  • Must be able to work independently during weekend shifts
  • Facility uses Epic for charting and documentation

This position is ideal for MRI Technologists with experience on GE 1.5T MRI scanners who are comfortable working independently in a trauma-level outpatient setting and are open to a travel contract in Colorado.
