Registered Nurse – Wound Care (Travel/Contract)

Location: Tulsa, Oklahoma
Shift: Days (Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM)
Hours: 40 hours/week (5x8 hour shifts)
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

• Acute care hospital setting, Level 3 Trauma Center
• Patient population includes altered mental status, CHF, stroke, orthopedic, surgical patients, DKA, infections
• Cardiac competency required with self-rating of 3 or above; basic dysrhythmia training preferred (self-rating 3 or above)
• No on-call duties
• No floating outside scope of practice
• Locals accepted; pending licenses not accepted
• Guaranteed 36 guaranteed workweek hours
• Zero-fault attendance policy: any missed shift counts as unexcused; 2 missed shifts = warning, 3+ may lead to contract cancellation
• Holiday time off restrictions: no time off approved the day before, day of, or day after holidays; max 5 total days off in 13-week assignment

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse license in Oklahoma
• Minimum 2 years of wound care experience, including experience within the last year
• BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Compliance & Onboarding Requirements

• Background check within 30 days of start, including 7-year criminal search across all counties worked in last 7 years, sex offender, nationwide SS trace; no exceptions for hits
• Copy of diploma or transcript required (unofficial acceptable if graduation date included); education verification required if transcript/diploma unavailable
• Physical exam within 1 year stating "cleared to work" with physician signature and contact info
• Negative TB test (PPD, Q-Gold, or Tspot) within 1 year or chest X-ray if prior positive; TB questionnaire if applicable
• Immunizations or titers required: Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella (vaccines or medical documentation/history accepted)
• Drug test (10-panel) within 30 days of start with negative results
• Flu vaccine or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season (Oct 1 – May 1); documentation due by Nov 1 or assignment terminated
• Unit-specific competency exam required
• Completion of facility-specific modules (Oracle, WorkRamp) prior to start with proof of completion
• Badge photo required on plain white background, front-facing, no filters, submitted by deadline
• Signed job description, confidentiality agreement, code of conduct acknowledgment, and marketing consent form required before start
• References: 2 required prior to start
• Annual performance evaluation or 2 references from Charge RN or higher if worked with agency 1+ year
• Annual skills checklist for unit required
• Work history verification for last 3 years (attestations acceptable; can be pending at start)

Additional Notes

• Travelers must complete lab onboarding within 48-72 hours of signing contract
• No additional time off allowed after contract submission or while working on contract
