Electrophysiology Tech - Travel/Contract

Location: Billings, Montana
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Day (4 shifts per week, 10 hours each, 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM)

Required Qualifications

• Experience: Electrophysiology Technician experience within the last year
• Experience: 1 year of Electrophysiology Technician experience
• Licensure: Montana State License required for Radiology Techs (including Electrophysiology Tech). Temporary licenses are NOT accepted.
• Certifications:

  • ACLS (AHA only; certificates of completion NOT accepted)
  • BLS (AHA only; certificates of completion NOT accepted)
• Background Checks:

  • 7-year background check required within 30 days of start; must be renewed annually
  • EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start
• Health Requirements:

  • Physical exam within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, or PA (no Chiropractor signatures)
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray, renewed annually (specific testing options detailed)
  • Required immunizations or proof of immunity: Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella (positive IGG titer or vaccination series)
  • Flu vaccination required during flu season (Oct 31 - Mar 31) or approved exemption
  • COVID vaccination series or approved medical/religious exemption
  • Negative drug screen within 30 days of start, renewed annually (9-panel plus additional substances)
  • Quantitative fit test with 3M mask within 90 days prior to start (qualitative tests not accepted; must be clean shaven; religious exemptions evaluated case-by-case)
• References: Two references required, including one direct supervisor reference within the last year (letters accepted). Pending references may affect scheduling.
• Employment History: Current application including 7 years of employment history with explanations for gaps over 30 days. Disclosure if previously worked at the facility is required.
• Skills Checklist: Required as applicable.

Preferred Qualifications

• Dysrhythmia/EKG competency exam with at least 80% pass rate (preferred for Telemetry, Stepdown, PCU, ICU, ER)
• Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) certification (preferred for psychiatric roles, not mandatory here)

Additional Notes

• Client approvals for licenses and certifications are coordinated through compliance; documentation must be submitted timely.
• National and state background checks include criminal, sex offender, and OFAC screenings.
• Onsite OSHA form required for fit testing scheduling.
• Physical exam must confirm candidate is in good health, free from communicable diseases, and able to perform job duties without limitation.
• Handwritten vaccination records are acceptable if they meet state/public health documentation standards.
