• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure)
• CHEMO (Chemotherapy)
• TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
• Management of Assaultive Behavior (MAB)
• NIH Stroke Certification
• CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute)
• State License Verification (Primary source online verification required)
• NURSYS Verification (for RN, LPN/LVN, AP)
• Tech Cert Verification - National (for Allied Professionals)
• Orientation Safety Manual Acknowledgement (HIPAA compliance)

Required Competencies

• Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam (80% score or meet/exceed Angoff score)
• Color Blind Testing (Relias online version acceptable)
• Competency Exam (minimum passing score 80% or Angoff score)
• Core Parts I, II, III (annual completion for subcontractors)

Health and Safety Requirements

• Physical Exam within 12 months of start
• Fit Mask Test within 1 year of start (annual renewal required)
• Adult Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccine within 10 years
• Negative TB test (2-Step PPD, QGOLD, or TSPOT) within 1 year
• TB Questionnaire (required annually if positive TB test)
• Immunizations or positive titers for:

  • Rubeola (Measles)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B (or declination)
  • Varicella (or documented history)
• Negative 10 Panel Drug Screen within 90 days of start
• Seasonal Flu Vaccination (required during flu season)
• COVID-19 Vaccination or approved Medical/Religious Exemption (declinations not accepted)

Background and Compliance Checks

• 7-year Background Check (updated annually) including SS trace, county searches, nationwide, sex offender, and education verification
• EPLS/GSA/SAM checks upon hire
• HHS/OIG checks upon hire
• Employment Application and Resume required
• Unit Specific Skills Checklist (annual)
• Education Verification (highest level required)
• Work History Verification (7 years)
• Fingerprinting (New Mexico placements only, onsite during orientation)
