Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Georgia
  • Med Surg (1 year of experience)
  • Med Surg experience within the last year
  • BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
  • Experience with Epic

Clinical Setting

  • General med-surg patient diagnoses
  • Ratio: 1:6
  • 32 rooms with an average daily census of 29

Skills and Experience

  • Isolation precautions
  • Wound care / wound vac
  • Nasal cannula and high-flow nasal cannula
  • Chest tubes
  • Starting IVs
  • PICC line management
  • Blood product administration
  • Feeding tube care and management

Schedule and Assignment Details

  • Every other weekend
  • Floating within facility and scope of practice as needed
  • No call required
  • Must work major holidays that fall during the assignment per facility policy
  • Maximum 7 days of requested time off
  • Spring Break blackout dates: April 4–12

Compliance and Start Requirements

  • Full compliance is required to start on time
  • Background check must be complete before start
  • Education verification is required and may be pending at start with proof it is in progress
  • Work history verification of the most recent employer is required and may be pending at start with proof it is in progress
  • TB questionnaire is required
  • Negative TB test or chest x-ray is required within 12 months of start
  • Negative 10-panel drug screen is required within 60 days of start
  • Flu vaccination or declination is required
  • Physical exam is required by the staffing agency
  • Photo ID is required
  • Skills checklist is required within 12 months and updated annually
  • Two clinical references are required by the staffing agency
