Emergency Room Registered Nurse

Overview

• Travel/contract role in Columbia, Missouri
• Day shift, 3x12 hours
• Alternating weekends and holidays
• Float assignment between the ED and ED observation

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Missouri
• ED - Emergency Department (2 years of experience)
• ED - Emergency Department experience within the last year
• ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• TNCC - Trauma Nursing Core Course
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Trauma experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Level I trauma experience
• Pediatric emergency experience
• Level I trauma experience and pediatric emergency experience are strongly preferred
• CPI

Schedule Expectations

• Every other weekend
• 50% of holidays
• Rotating shifts, holiday coverage, and inclement weather coverage may be required
• Ability to take call
• Ability to work assigned weekends and at least 50% of holidays during the contract

Work Setting

• Level I trauma, stroke, and STEMI emergency department
• Pediatric ED is located inside the emergency department
• Psych center is associated with the ED but is not a float destination

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to ambulate, reach, and move objects weighing up to and over 20 lbs
• Regular contact with patients who may have contagious illnesses
