Overview

• Travel/Contract RN role in Columbus, Ohio.
• 16-week assignment.
• Night shift: 3x12 hours, 19:00–7:30.
• May be scheduled for days, nights, or a combination of both if accepting a 12D/N rotating contract.
• Unit staffing ratio aims for 1:4 and may adjust to 1:5 based on unit needs.
• Weekends are variable.
• No set or blocked scheduling requests.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Ohio.
• Med Surg / Telemetry (2 years of experience).
• Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year.
• BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association.
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing.
• Oncology experience.
• Experience administering chemotherapy treatments.
• Experience with specialized procedures such as brachytherapy.
• Experience with neobladder care.
• Ability to monitor telemetry readings, interpret dysrhythmias, and respond appropriately to changes in patient conditions.
• Experience with feeding tube care and management.
• Experience with IV therapy and blood product administration.
• Experience with central line maintenance.

Preferred

• Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) Chemotherapy certification.

Clinical Focus

• Adult and geriatric oncology care.
• Cancer diagnoses include endometrial, bladder, renal, ovarian, and cervical cancers.
• Treatments and procedures include chemotherapy, clinical trials, brachytherapy, CBI, neobladder care, feeding tube care, IV therapy, blood product administration, and central line maintenance.
• Heavy focus on infection prevention protocols and patient falls management.
• Telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation are part of the role.
• EPIC is used for charting.
