Medical Surgical RN Travel Contract

Overview

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Missouri
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Med Surg (2 years of experience)
• Med Surg experience within the last year
• ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association
• BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
• 2 years of nursing experience (or 1 or more years with Level I/Teaching Facility experience)

Schedule and Assignment Details

• Every other weekend required
• Floating within scope is required
• On-call is not required
• Block scheduling is not accommodated
• Local candidates are not accepted; 75-mile radius rule applies
• Up to 7 days of requested time off per 13-week contract

Clinical Focus

• Medical-surgical nursing on an ENT/Plastic Surgery unit
• Required experience includes drains, flap monitoring, tracheostomy and total laryngectomy care, tube feeding, phlebotomy, IV access, central line management, wound care, and telemetry

Facility Type

• Short-term acute care
• Magnet, teaching, and Level I trauma center

Additional Notes

• Guaranteed hours are included, with 3 shifts guaranteed per 13 weeks
• Navy blue scrubs required
• EPIC charting used
