Overview

  • Travel/Contract role in Lexington, Kentucky
  • Night shift: 3x12 hours, 19:00–7:30
  • 36 hours per week
  • Contract length: 14 weeks
  • Local travelers within 100 miles are not accepted
  • RTO longer than 1 week is not approved unless there is a special circumstance

Required Qualifications

  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
  • Valid RN license in Kentucky
  • ED - Emergency Department (2 years of experience)
  • ED - Emergency Department experience within the last year
  • One completed travel assignment
  • ACLS issued by American Heart Association
  • BLS issued by American Heart Association
  • PALS or ENPC
  • TNCC
  • NIHSS
  • Two supervisor references verified within 6 months of start
  • Any gaps longer than 30 days must be explained
  • Employment verification for 7 years of employment
  • Background check required within 1 year of start and updated annually
  • EPLS/GSA/SAM verification within 30 days of start and updated annually
  • HHS/OIG verification within 30 days of start and updated annually
  • Sex offender search within 30 days of start and updated annually
  • Education verification required
  • State license verification within 30 days of start
  • NURSYS verification within 30 days of start
  • Physical exam within 1 year of start and updated annually
  • Fit mask within 1 year and updated annually
  • Tdap within 10 years of start
  • Negative TB or chest X-ray within 1 year and renewed annually
  • Rubeola, mumps, rubella, varicella, hepatitis B, COVID, and flu documentation or exemptions as specified in the source
  • Drug testing within 1 year of start and updated annually
  • Medication/pharmacology competency exam within 1 year of start
  • Color blind testing within 1 year of start
  • Unit-specific competency exam(s), core modules, skills checklist(s), and pass/fail testing as required by the unit
  • EKG exam and annual EKG certification if required by the unit
  • CPI Blue Card can be completed onsite
  • Acknowledgement of PassFail Testing is required for ER
  • Employment application must include explanations for gaps longer than 30 days

Preferred

  • Travel experience preferred, but not necessary
  • COVID-19 vaccine booster preferred, not required

Additional Notes

  • No trauma level one experience is necessary
  • First-time travelers with level 1 ER experience are accepted
