Overview

• Travel/Contract RN role in Castro Valley, California
• Night shift: 3x12 hours, 19:00–7:30
• 36 hours per week
• 13-week contract
• No Sunday shift; rotating every other Saturday is required
• May be required to float to units in the Emergency Services Division

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in California
• Med Surg / Telemetry (2 years of experience)
• Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
• ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• NIHSS
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing

Preferred

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing is preferred for RN positions

Role Details

• Universal Care RN
• Writes initial nursing histories, assesses patients, develops care plans, evaluates care plan effectiveness, and provides direct patient care
• Cares for infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations
• Coordinates patient care, delegates tasks, supervises support personnel, and may function as relief Charge Nurse
• Assists physicians with exams and special procedures, including emergency measures for sudden adverse developments such as cardiac arrest
• May be asked to identify patients to initiate care
