Job Overview

Travel/contract RN role in Omaha, Nebraska
13-week contract
Night shift, 4x12 hours, 19:00–7:30
48 hours per week
36-hour option is also available

Unit Details

Mixed acuity medical-surgical, telemetry, and stepdown unit
Care may include up to six med-surg patients
48-bed unit specializing in neurology and neurosurgery
Travelers are first to float and may float frequently within scope to meet facility needs

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Nebraska
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
ACLS issued by American Heart Association
BLS issued by American Heart Association
NIHSS
Neuro PCU - Progressive Care Unit (2 years of experience)
Neuro PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience within the last year
One completed travel assignment
Stepdown experience
Experience with Epic

Schedule and Assignment Expectations

Weekend requirement: 4 weekend shifts out of 8 possible in a 4-week period
Must work 2 of 3 major holidays
Up to 2 weeks of requested time off is permitted
Local candidates are not accepted; candidate must live more than 100 miles from the facility

Additional Notes

Pending license is accepted; if the license is not in hand at submission, the traveler will be booked 6 weeks out
Scrubs are mandatory and must be Steele gray with the Nebraska Medicine logo on the back
