Overview

• Travel/Contract role in Tyler, Texas
• 36 hours per week, day shift: 7:00 to 19:00
• 13-week contract
• Patient ratio: 1:6
• Weekends required
• Float required to units of equal or lesser acuity

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Texas
• Med Surg / Telemetry (1 year of experience)
• Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
• BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross or RQI or American Safety and Health Institute
• NIHSS
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• 7-year work history verification
• Unit-specific skills checklist
• Complete application/resume
• Drivers License/State ID
• Clear headshot for badge
• Physical exam within 12 months of start
• Fit test within 1 year of start
• Negative TB or chest X-ray within 1 year of start
• Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap within 10 years of start
• Negative 10-panel drug screen within 90 days of start
• Education verification
• Background check
• E-Verify
• EPLS/GSA/SAM
• HHS/OIG
• NURSYS verification
• State license verification
• Color blind testing
• Competency exam
• Medication test/pharmacology competency exam

Unit Details

• Medical-surgical unit with telemetry capabilities
• Focuses on renal and urological diagnoses
• Common care includes post prostate surgery, renal stones, bladder and kidney surgeries
• Staff performs 3-wa catheter irrigations, bladder scans, and incontinency procedures
• Also receives medical-surgical and telemetry overflow patients
• Adult to geriatric patient population
