Job Opportunity: Nurse Navigator - Pediatric Oncology
Location: Boston, Massachusetts

Job Summary
As a Nurse Navigator in Pediatric Oncology (Solid Tumor), you will be responsible for patient education, symptom support, and coordination of patient care. Key duties include care coordination, telephone triage/symptom management, patient education, and some hands-on clinical skills such as immunizations, dressing changes, and nasogastric tube placement.
Patient Population & Work Environment
- Clinic serves 75-90 patients daily
- Acute Care Hospital setting
- Charting system: Epic
- Total staffed beds: 30
- Shift options: 8, 10, or 12-hour shifts with guaranteed hours (40 hours for 8/10-hour shifts; 36 hours for 12-hour shifts)
- No weekend requirement
- No on-call duties
- No floating outside scope of practice
- Local candidates accepted without mileage restrictions
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Massachusetts
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Minimum 2 years of Nurse Navigator experience, including experience within the last year
- Minimum 2 years of pediatric oncology experience, including pediatric hematology/oncology experience
- Experience working with pediatric patients
- CHEMO certification/experience
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) issued by American Heart Association
- Basic Life Support (BLS) issued by American Heart Association
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) issued by American Heart Association or Red Cross
- Experience with Epic charting system

- Prior travel experience is preferred but not mandatory; first-time travelers will be considered
- No block scheduling accommodations
- Must include interview availability with submission
- Background checks and education verification required
- Multiple facility-specific documents and health screenings required prior to start (e.g., physical exam, TB testing, immunizations including flu vaccine, drug testing)
- Flu vaccine is mandatory for the flu season (October-March) with strict deadlines and no declinations accepted except for approved medical or religious exemptions
- At least 2 positive employment references and verification of 2 most recent employers required
