Registered Nurse - Emergency Department

Location: Newnan, Georgia
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Work in a fast-paced Emergency Department unit with peer support of approximately 3 RNs.
• Triage critical patients using Emergency Severity Index (ESI).
• Must be able to pivot quickly, be a team player, and comfortable stabilizing critical patients.
• Schedule: 3 shifts per week, 12-hour shifts (either 0700-1930 or 0800-2030), every other weekend (~4 weekends per 13 weeks).
• Experience in General Emergency Department combining Adult and Pediatric patients, non-trauma focused.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Georgia.
• Verification of State License 1 and NURSYS (RN, LPN, AP).
• Associate of Science in Nursing or Associate Degree in Nursing.
• Minimum 3 years of Emergency Department nursing experience, including experience within the last year.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in ER Holding.
• Experience in General Emergency Department combining Adult and Pediatric patients.
• Experience in Non-Trauma Emergency Department settings.
• Certifications issued by the American Heart Association:

  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
