Job Opportunity: Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) - Travel/Contract

Location: Lancaster, California
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Assignment Length: 13 to 26 weeks preferred (approximately 13 weeks)
Shift: 5 days per week, 8-hour day shifts

May include occasional weekend coverage and floating

Job Description

Start Date: ASAP
Weekly Work Hours Guarantee: 36 hours
Cancellation Notice: 14 days

Requirements

Valid Speech Language Pathologist license in California
Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Speech Language Pathologist
Experience as a Speech Language Pathologist within the last year
At least 1 year of experience in Speech Language Pathology in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) setting

Required Qualifications & Certifications

Current, valid State License for Speech-Language Pathologist in California
ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross
PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification preferred
National or State-specific Therapy certifications as applicable
Competency exams and medication/pharmacology competency as applicable

Compliance & Documentation

Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID)
Emergency Contact Form (required prior to start)
Background checks including 7-year history, sex offender registry, and federal exclusions (updated annually)
Physical exam within 1 year of start date
Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year of start date (with specific protocols for past positives)
Immunization or titer proof for:
- Measles (Rubeola)
- Mumps
- Rubella
- Hepatitis B
- Varicella (Chickenpox)
Drug screening: 9-panel drug screen within 1 year of start (instant drug screen acceptable)
Seasonal flu vaccination or declination during flu season (October 1 - March 31)
Professional references:
- 2 professional references for travel, allied, or per diem acute care roles
- 1 professional reference for per diem non-acute care roles

Additional Notes

Floating assignments and occasional weekend shifts may be required
