Job Details

• Shift: 7 on, 7 off night shift (Wednesday night to Tuesday morning)
• Patient Population: Adolescents to Geriatrics (Neonates to Pediatrics rare)
• Work Settings: Inpatient and Outpatient
• Skills Required:

  • IV Starts
  • PACS
  • Contrast Skills
• Electronic Systems: Epic, Pyxis, SBAR
• Floating: Yes, may float to a nearby main campus hospital (~3 miles away)
• Call Requirements: None
• Holiday Work:

  • If 1 major holiday falls during assignment, expected to work it
  • If 2 major holidays fall, expected to work both
  • If 3 major holidays fall, expected to work 2 of them
• Major Holidays Include: Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Day, New Year’s Eve/Day
• Return to Office (RTO): Maximum 7 days

Required Qualifications

• CT Technologist with a minimum of 1 year of experience
• CT Technologist experience within the last year
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification
• Experience working in both inpatient and outpatient settings

Compliance & Screening

• Full compliance required to start on time; delays may result in a 2-week pushback due to orientation scheduling
• Clinical screening will be conducted to determine clinical fit before final approval
• Background check required within 30 days of start, including education verification
• Drug screening (10-panel) required within 60 days of start
• Physical exam required within 12 months of start
• Immunizations and health documents required:

  • TB test or chest x-ray within 12 months
  • TB questionnaire (annual)
  • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer
  • Varicella vaccination or positive titer
  • Hepatitis B surface antibody titer or signed declination
  • Flu vaccination or declination (seasonal)

Additional Requirements

• Color blindness test required; alternative assessment available if needed
• Competency exams required (Medication, Dysrhythmia/EKG) with limited attempts allowed
• Skills checklist within 12 months, updated annually
• Verification of recent work history and clinical references required

• Weekends depend on the shift posted
• Scrub color: Caribbean Blue
• Locals accepted at the same rate
• Number of non-billable orientation hours depends on contract length

This position offers a balanced schedule with a 7 on/7 off night shift pattern and requires a minimum of 1 year of experience in radiology technology. Candidates must hold current BLS and ARRT certifications and be licensed in Georgia. The role involves both inpatient and outpatient settings with some floating to nearby facilities. Compliance with all health, background, and competency requirements is mandatory.
