Job Opportunity: Licensed Masters of Social Worker (LMSW)
Location: Baltimore, Maryland
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 16 weeks
Job Details
- Shift: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM (5 days x 8 hours)
- Hours per Week: 40
- On Call/Weekend: No on-call requirement; weekends optional if available and needed
- Float Requirement: Must float across MedSurg units within the patient tower as necessary
- Work Setting: Inpatient medical social work
Required Qualifications
- Valid Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) license in Maryland
- Minimum 2 years of LMSW experience, including experience within the last year
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA or ARC)
- Experience in inpatient, rehabilitation, and long-term care settings
- Experience assisting patients navigate the DCF process
- Experience with collaborative care
- Experience in care coordination with home care and equipment following discharge
- Experience in rehabilitation referrals
- Experience in long-term care referrals
Additional Requirements
- Two positive supervisory references supporting at least 2 years of experience within the last 3 years
- Complete 7 years of work history with no gaps, including education, employment, license, and contact information
- Criminal background check within 90 days of start, covering all locations lived/worked/schooled in the past 7 years
- Drug screen within 90 days of start (excluding marijuana)
- Annual physical exam confirming ability to work without accommodations and free from communicable disease
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year; annual TB questionnaire required
- Required immunizations or proof of immunity: MMR (measles, mumps, rubella), Hepatitis B, Varicella
- N95 fit test within 9 months of start, updated annually (client may complete onsite if needed)
- Completion of facility-specific modules prior to start
- Valid driver’s license if driving is an essential job function

- No prior travel experience is explicitly required for this position
- Candidate may pick up weekend shifts if desired and available, but not mandatory
- Must be able to float across medical-surgical units as needed
- Facility requires strict adherence to vaccination and health screening policies

I do not have anything negative other than you need to fight with sone to all9w you gain some admission, emergency and critical patient stabilisation experience since they invade such patients which may leave you hanging while the resuscitation happens.
