Work Schedule

• Day shift, Monday through Friday
• 5 shifts per week, 8 hours per day (8:00 AM - 5:00 PM)

Job Description

• Provide physical therapy assistance in a home health setting
• Prior home health experience required

Required Qualifications

• Valid Physical Therapy Assistant license in California
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Physical Therapy Assistant
• Physical Therapy Assistant experience within the last year
• Experience in a Home Health setting

Background and Compliance Requirements

• 7-year background check required within 6 months of start date, including:

  • Social Security trace with all aliases
  • County searches for last 7 years of residence/work/school
  • Nationwide sex offender search
  • Education verification (highest level achieved)
  • Motor Vehicle Report (required for this driving position)
  • FACIS Level 3 screening within 2 weeks of start and monthly thereafter
  • EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG, OFAC sanctions list, and Medi-Cal Suspended and Ineligible Provider List checks as applicable
• Negative 9-panel drug screen within 6 months of start (excluding marijuana/cannabinoids due to CA law)
• Employment application with full 7 years of work history, no gaps
• Employment verification for up to 7 years, with explanations for gaps over 30 days

Certifications and Licenses

• California PTA license (copy required)
• BLS (AHA or ARC only)
• Additional certifications may be required depending on position specifics (verify with recruiter)

Health and Immunization Requirements

• Physical exam within 1 year of start (must indicate cleared for work)
• Fit mask test within 1 year, renewed annually (exceptions apply)
• Adult Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccination within 10 years
• Negative TB test or chest x-ray within 90 days of start; annual renewal required
• Proof of immunity or vaccination for:

  • Mumps
  • Rubella

  • Varicella
