Job Opportunity: Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) - Home Health

Location: Everett, Washington
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Specialty: Home Health therapy with a focus on geriatric cases
• Average caseload: 5-7 patients per day (to be confirmed during interview)
• Electronic Medical Record (EMR): HCHB preferred but not required if you have home health experience
• On-call: No
• First-time travelers: Not accepted
• Territory: Up to a 60-mile radius from the office/hub
• Dress code: Scrubs of any color (no jeans)
• Device provided: iPad
• Mileage reimbursed at IRS standard rate
• Cell phone use: Not allowed during work
• Flexibility with territory expected
• Timely documentation and communication required

Required Qualifications

• Valid Physical Therapy Assistant license in Washington
• Minimum 2 years of recent Physical Therapy Assistant experience, including experience within the last year
• Experience in a Home Health setting

Compliance & Background Requirements

• Background checks including SSN trace, county searches (last 7 years), sex offender registry, motor vehicle records, education and work history verification
• State-specific background checks and fingerprinting as required by Washington state regulations
• Verification of highest degree related to profession
• Drug screening (9-panel) within 12 months
• Physical exam within last 12 months
• Fit mask test (N95 accepted)
• Immunizations/vaccinations or documented declinations required for:

  • Measles (Rubeola)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B
  • Varicella
  • Seasonal flu and COVID (vaccination or facility-specific declination)
• TB test or chest X-ray within last year (or questionnaire if previously positive)
• Professional references: 2 required within 2 years of start date
• Full 7 years of work history documented with no gaps

Additional Notes

• Proof of current auto insurance required due to driving responsibilities
• Orientation safety manual acknowledgment required annually
• Competency exams as applicable to profession/specialty
• Candidates must comply with all facility-specific policies and documentation requirements prior to start
