<h3>Assignment Overview</h3><ul><li>Shift: Nights, 3x12hrs</li><li>Hours: 36 hrs/wk</li><li>Start Date: Oct 19, 2026</li><li>Length: 13 weeks</li><li>Openings: 2</li></ul><h3>Description</h3><p>American Traveler is hiring a Night Shift RN for a Progressive Care Unit/Stepdown position requiring an active IL RN license and prior stepdown experience.</p><h3>Details</h3><ul><li>Cardiac Stepdown unit in a hospital setting</li><li>Level 1 trauma center</li><li>1:7 patient ratio</li><li>Night shift, 12-hour shifts from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM</li><li>1845 start times will float</li><li>Every other weekend required</li><li>No on-call requirements</li><li>Floating within the same discipline across local campuses may be required</li><li>Uses Epic EMR</li></ul><h3>Requirements</h3><ul><li>Active RN license in Illinois required at time of consideration</li><li>Iowa RN license required, or proof of application for an Iowa single-state or compact license</li><li>Current BLS (AHA) and ACLS (AHA) certifications</li><li>Minimum 1 year of previous stepdown experience required</li><li>Experience with chest tubes, femstops, trachs, CBIs, drains, and central lines required</li><li>Experience with medications such as Amiodarone, Cardizem, Nitro, Insulin, Heparin, Dopamine, Dobutamine, Isuprel, Milrinone, and Argatroban, including titration</li><li>At least 1 completed travel contract preferred</li><li>Driver's license required for consideration</li><li>Supervisory reference from within 2 years of employment/contract required</li></ul><h3>Additional Information</h3><ul><li>Contribute clinical knowledge and skills as part of an interdisciplinary care team</li><li>Local candidates will be considered</li><li>Candidates who were employed by the facility within the past 12 months are not eligible</li><li>Required to work 1-2 of 3 summer holidays (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day)</li></ul>
